Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Are your products suited for all types of skin?
2. Are your products free from parabens, sulfates, and other harmful chemicals?
3. Do your products have a fragrance?
Our products have a light and pleasant fragrance with IFRA range.
4. Why are your products more expensive compared to traditional shampoos and body washes?
Our products are priced higher than traditional liquid products for a few key reasons:
• Concentrated Formulas: Our products are 100% water-free, unlike liquid hand wash that are diluted with over 80% water. This means our concentrated formulas provide up to 10 times more washes per unit, even though the initial price is higher.
• Upcycled Ingredient: Our product uses upcycled spent coffee grounds (which is a by-product of coffee brewing process). The collection, pre-processing, and ensuring that it is safe and high-quality to be used involves additional logistics and handling costs compared to standard raw materials.
• Sustainable Packaging: Our packaging is made from 100% rPET (recycled plastic) granules, which is more 30% expensive than regular plastic but has a comparatively reduced environmental impact.
• Reduced Environmental Impact: By eliminating water and plastic, our products have a much lower carbon footprint during manufacturing and shipping, which is reflected in the pricing.
• A Small Startup's Commitment: As a small, independent brand, focused on quality and sustainability, we operate on a smaller scale compared to mass-market brands. This affects our production costs but ensures better quality control and ethical sourcing.
We believe the long-term benefits of using our sustainable, high-quality products outweigh the initial cost. Our customers often find that our products last much longer, making the value proposition compelling despite the higher upfront price.

5. What are upcycled ingredients?
According to Upcycled Food Association, “Upcycled raw materials are those ingredients that otherwise would not have gone to human consumption, are procured and produced using verifiable supply chains, and have a positive impact on the environment.”
6. How am I helping the planet?
According to Project Drawdown, reducing food waste is the top solution to climate change. 8% of human-cause greenhouse gas emissions come from food loss and waste and 28% of agricultural land goes to grow food that is never eaten. We at TBL, are working to upcycle spent coffee grounds in order to elevate it to highest and best use. So, whenever you are picking a bottle, you are helping to divert coffee residues equivalent to 1 cup of coffee brewed while using 80% less water—reducing both carbon and water footprints.
7. What are the benefits of spent coffee grounds?
Spent coffee grounds are rich in antioxidants, which help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals (like UV rays and pollution). They also have:
• Exfoliating Properties: The fine, gritty texture helps remove dead skin cells & dirt, revealing smoother, more radiant skin.
